October 4, 2026
A record 1,219 upvotes on the week 40 board, Zinn Hub at #1 with 51 of them, a free 19-page SEO playbook, two new guides on Resources, and Nick Launches on six platforms. Week 22 on Nick Launches, plus what ten years of GitHub stars say about going solo.
Your weekly roundup of fresh launches shaping how we work and build.
Everyone talks about SEO. This week is the version you can run yourself, in one PDF, plus the week 40 board, a new launch guide, a new dev guide, and six places you can now follow this account.
The week 40 board cast 1,219 upvotes, the most in any week since launch, up from 917 last issue. A freelance marketplace took #1 with 51 of them, the biggest single tally of the quarter, and the free section ran deeper than it ever has: eleven free launches finished on 18 votes or more. Every landing page in this issue got a hand check before making the list.
In this issue:
- The week 40 board: 1,219 upvotes, a record, and Zinn Hub at #1 with 51
- The free SEO playbook: 11 tactics, 19 pages, and where the video versions are going
- From the blog: 145 GitHub stars, two accounts, CTO to solo founder
- Two new guides on Resources: what ChatGPT actually cites now, and shipping an MCP server with your product
- Nick Launches is now on six platforms
Featured Launches 🚀
The Pro and Premium launches on this week's board, ordered as the week page has them, with each one's real board position, and every landing page checked by hand. Four this week, no carry-overs: the window closed before this went out.
-
Zinn Hub: 51 upvotes and #1 on the board. The most votes any launch has taken this
quarter. A freelance marketplace with zero buyer fees, where freelancers keep 100% of their first $500 and pay tiered
commissions as low as 7% after that. Listings, messages and live calls are translated across 46 languages and 59
currencies in real time, which is the part that makes it a global marketplace rather than an English one with a
dropdown. Live since Monday, featured through October 11. -
Takibi Base: 17 upvotes, #2 on the board, live since Friday. A shared knowledge base
for AI agents. Drop in docs, decide which agent sees which folder, and every answer comes back as an exact passage
with a citation and an evidence score. Agents can leave notes between tasks, which humans review and promote to
source or let expire after 30 days, so what the agents learned stays separate from what you verified. Ember at €18 a
month for two profiles, Campfire at €52 for eight, seven-day trial. -
CronWatch: 12 upvotes, #3 on the board, live since Saturday. Cron fails silently. This
does not. An MIT-licensed library that records every scheduled job in your own application database and alerts when a
job never starts, hangs, runs slow, or finishes without doing the work. TypeScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, Go, Rust,
Elixir, Java and .NET, alerts to Slack, Discord, email, SMS or your error tracker, and no hosted service, no account,
no monthly fee. Two days on the board so far. -
Snap AI Studio: 7 upvotes, #4 on the board. 41 models and 85 tools and effects for photo, video and audio on one credit pool, from Google, OpenAI, ByteDance and others, at $9, $19 or $35 a month. Every model shows its credit cost before you generate, failed outputs are refunded automatically, and the same monthly balance can be 800 budget images or eight premium videos. Featured for 30 days, through October 30.
Launch Weekly Winners 🏆
The most upvoted free launches of the week. No paid placement here, just upvotes. Every one of these went live on Monday, and the top one out-voted three of the four featured launches above.
-
Autoadify: 28 upvotes, top of the free section. An AI social media manager that
writes, designs and publishes across ten platforms, in text, image, video and audio. Agents wait for your approval
before posting; separate workflows can publish unattended on a trigger. Syncs with Shopify and WooCommerce. Free
tier, paid plans to $299 a month. -
Raat Radio: 22 upvotes. A listener-powered radio where you submit a YouTube song and
attach a site or X handle to promote alongside it; attaching is free and $2 puts your song at #1 through Stripe. The
buy-your-spotlight mechanic from the last three boards, moved to music. Still early: most songs on the board showed
no listeners when I checked. -
vandal: 21 upvotes. Find restaurants, bars and venues by community tags instead of star
ratings: date night, hidden gem, laptop friendly. Free on iOS and Android, 50k tags created so far. -
Meadow: 21 upvotes. Plan, tailor and schedule posts to 13 platforms from one dashboard, or
let an agent do it over the API and MCP. Free tier with no card, paid from $24 a month billed yearly. Read it next to
Autoadify at #1: two schedulers in the top four, one built around agents that ask first, one built around agents that
publish for you. -
gec.dev: 20 upvotes. Visual learning roadmaps and practical articles for building things on
the web: frontend, backend, infrastructure, AI, system design, with interactive activities and saved progress when
you sign in. Free to read. -
PaceUI: 19 upvotes. 350+ animated blocks, 100+ components and six templates built on Motion
and shadcn for Next.js and TanStack Start, with an MCP server so your agent can pull them in. Free tier with 25
components, Pro at $149 one-time with lifetime updates.
Five more finished on 18 votes each: Web Wander, a random website generator in the StumbleUpon tradition; PageWisr, which tells you what your website is costing you; Saasgrave Launches, a launch platform for SaaS; ToolListed, an AI tools directory with a backlinks list; and MySeasonColors, a free color analysis quiz with 16 seasons instead of four. Eleven free launches at 18 or more is the deepest free section the board has had.

The free SEO playbook 📕
Everyone talks about SEO. Most of what gets shared is either a $2,000 audit or a thread that stops at "write good content". So I wrote down the eleven tactics I have actually run this year, on this site and on client sites, with the exact steps, and put them in a free 19-page PDF. No paid links, no tools to buy.
The eleven, in one line each:
- The three kings refresh. Find the queries you already rank 5 to 15 for in Search Console, then put each one in the title, the H1 and the first sentence.
- A stats page AI writers cite. AI writing tools cite a source for every claim. A dated, neutral page of numbers in your niche gets linked with no outreach.
- A sector audit or correlation index. Run one check across about 3,000 sites, or cross two public datasets, and publish the spread with your method.
- The stock image credit trick. Upload your own charts and photos with a credit link, reverse-search them, and ask uncredited sites to add it.
- Journalist request platforms. Answer daily reporter requests on Qwoted, Source of Sources and Featured. Fast, short, specific, and never AI-written.
- A tiny tool instead of another post. Calculators, checkers and quizzes earn links that articles never get.
- Match the intent of the top three. When a page will not move, study the top three results and match their format, depth and angle.
- Research-first PR. Publish new data on a real pain point in your customers' industry and send it to the trade press.
- Partner pages and genuine awards. Get listed by the suppliers, partners and customers you already work with. Run an award only if it is real.
- Indexed, relevant directories and profiles. How to tell the directories worth a listing from the ones that do nothing for you.
- A Grokipedia entry, experimental. Free reference links that count for nothing until Google indexes the entry. What to know before you try it.
Then three short chapters: what to skip (paid links, link farms, blog comments, paid indexers, AI-written pitches), where the experts disagree (stats pages, directories and paying for links, both sides and where I land), and a week-by-week order for your first 30 days.

Worth your time 🔎
145 GitHub stars, two accounts: from CTO to solo founder. I went through every repo I ever starred on GitHub. Two accounts, ten years. The numbers surprised me more than the repos did.
| Period | Stars | Contributions |
|---|---|---|
| 2015-2017 | 23 | 3,831 |
| 2018-2024 | 1 | 20,971, almost all private |
| 2025 | 23 | 2,148 |
| 2026 (to September) | 98 | 4,368 |
Seven years leading teams, nearly 21,000 contributions, one star. One year solo, 116. Stars measure curiosity, not output: when the stack is decided, you stop shopping. In 2016 I starred things to import; in 2026 I star things for agents to run. And out of 116 stars on the new account, maybe 20 are in the daily setup, which feels like the right ratio. The full post has all 20, grouped into agents, browsers and scraping, design and UI, and SEO and growth, plus the skills gold rush and what stayed a bookmark.
From the feed this week. The posts that got saved the most on @nicklaunches (opens in a new tab) were the directory traffic series: position 10 on Google is about 10 clicks a month, position 1 is 318 (opens in a new tab), 80 of my 192 launch directories are DR 70+, and 36 of those get under 10K visits (opens in a new tab), and the GitHub stars thread (opens in a new tab). On @nicklaunchesai (opens in a new tab), it was the server card agents look for (opens in a new tab) and one console.log can break your whole MCP server (opens in a new tab). The MCP series turned into the dev guide below.
New on Resources 📚
Two new guides this fortnight, both written because the replies to those posts kept asking the same questions.
What ChatGPT actually cites now, a launch guide. Your
buyers are asking ChatGPT what to use, and on August 8 it changed who it names. Profound pulled 3,264,282 citations and
put the before and after on a slide: Reddit held 5.46% of every citation and is now out of the top ten, the new #1
holds 0.86%, and ChatGPT runs 70% more background searches to cite the same number of pages. The guide walks the
domain shift, the fanout and safe_urls step where the citation is actually decided, the Cloudflare crawler setting
that can pull you out of Google while you block training, and the exact order I am fixing my own 33 out of 100.
Ship an MCP server with your product, and get it found, a dev resource. You launched your product. That is launch one. Launch two is the MCP server you ship with it, so Claude Code, Cursor and Codex can use your product without a browser. Seven steps: the transport choice, why stdout is not yours to print to, OAuth the way clients expect it, scope in Claude Code so the server does not vanish in the next project, and getting found through the registry, the server card draft and a skill in the same install.

Quick ask 🙏
Four featured launches, 1,219 upvotes, a top free launch at 28 and a top paid launch at 51. The board has never cast this many votes in a week, and eleven free launches finished on 18 or more.
If something in this issue deserves eyes, open its page and upvote it. Ten seconds, real difference. Takibi Base and CronWatch went live on Friday and Saturday and are still in their featured window; the Monday effect from the last two issues says their second week is where the votes arrive.
If you have a launch here, run a site audit. It is free and it takes under a minute.
