What is Open Graph?
Open Graph (OG) is a set of meta tags that tell social platforms how to display your link. Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord, Slack, iMessage, and many others use them.
Why does my image not show up?
Common causes: the URL is relative instead of absolute, the image is behind a login, the file is too small (under 200x200), or the host blocks crawlers. Use an absolute https URL and at least 1200x630.
Is there a rate limit?
Yes. Anonymous users get 5 checks per hour per IP. Signed-in users get 30 per hour. Need more? Reach out.
Does this cache results?
No. Every check re-fetches the page so you always see the latest tags. This makes it useful for debugging changes you just deployed.
