My Experience
ToolPilot is a full-featured AI tools directory (browse, categories, featured tools, coupon codes, reviews) that also ships on iOS + Android. It’s a solid place to submit if your tool targets AI-curious builders and buyers and you want a directory-style discovery channel.
The key thing to know: the free listing is not “no strings attached.” ToolPilot now requires a link back (badge/logo) on your site to qualify for a free listing, and free processing can take up to 90 days. Paid tiers exist if you want faster turnaround and extra placement options.
Submission Process
- Open the “Submit AI Tool” page.
- Pick your listing tier:
- Free Listing (requires a backlink badge/logo on your site)
- Priority Listing ($99 one-time)
- Premium Listing ($199 one-time + $39/month)
- If you’re going Free:
- Add a ToolPilot badge/logo link on your site (footer is fine).
- Provide the badge URL during submission or email them to confirm.
- Fill out the submission form (tool name, website, description, etc.) and submit.
- Wait for review:
- Free: up to 90 days
- Priority/Premium: up to 7 days (per their pricing table)
Tips for Success
- Do the backlink first (free tier). Don’t submit free and “add it later” — it’s explicitly required to qualify.
- Write a benefits-first description (what problem you solve, who it’s for, what makes you different).
- Choose categories/tags strategically (hit the category your buyer actually browses, not just “AI”).
- If you have a deal, add it — ToolPilot leans into coupon codes and discounts.
- Use Priority/Premium when timing matters (launch week) or you want featured placement.
