Submission Process
- Visit https://news.ycombinator.com/submit
- Paste your URL
- Write a clear, non-salesy title
- Submit immediately (first hours matter most)
- Engage with comments thoughtfully
Tips for HN Success
- Show HN prefix for your own projects
- Timing: Tuesday-Thursday, 8-9 AM EST
- Title: Clear, technical, no marketing fluff
- Be ready: Answer technical questions quickly
- Don’t game it: HN detects vote manipulation
Reality Check
Most submissions get 0-5 upvotes and disappear. Don’t let it discourage you. When it works, nothing beats HN traffic quality. But have realistic expectations.
