Week 19 Recap: One Builder Shipped Four Launches and Took the Top of the Board, and the Directory Passed 1,800 Products
September 13, 2026
227 products submitted, 97 live, 843 upvotes cast, and Mark Zschiegner shipped four launches in a single week, one of which won the board outright. Two free listings finished one vote off the top. Week 19 on Nick Launches, plus the Auto growth and distribution tools landing this week.
Your weekly roundup of fresh launches shaping how we work and build.
Week 19 was the week the directory got big and the board got even. 227 products submitted, level with last week's 228, 97 went live, down from 103, and 843 upvotes cast across the week 37 board, which held 14 featured launches. The directory crossed 1,800 live products, up from 1,663, 241 new builders joined, 241 new subscribers landed on this list, and domain rating ticked up to 75. Every landing page in this issue got a hand check before making the list.
The story of the week is one name. Mark Zschiegner (opens in a new tab) shipped four launches in seven days: Open & Live, Money Funny, Sigdes and VendorButton Advantage. One of them won the board outright and the other three finished mid-table, which makes it the cleanest natural experiment the board has produced. Four products, one builder, one week, one set of promotion habits, and a 6x spread in votes. What separated them is written up below.
The other half of the week belongs to the free section. Habit Doom and Notify.domains both took 11 upvotes on free listings, one vote off the top of the entire board and ahead of twelve of the fourteen paid launches. That is the sixth week running that the top free launch out-voted most of the paid section, and at this point it is not a surprise, it is the rule.
Partner: LaunchPact (opens in a new tab) is Product Hunt launch support that works the way launches actually work. You form mutual launch pacts with verified founders, everyone upvotes on the day, and every vote is backed by screenshot proof. No bots, no bought votes, free to join. If a Product Hunt day is on your calendar, start there (opens in a new tab).
Featured Launches 🚀
The paid launches on this week's board, ordered as the week page has them, with each one's real board position, and every landing page checked by hand.
-
Open & Live: 12 upvotes, #1 on the board. Public live camera feeds on a
seven-second rotation. Official traffic cameras and tourism livestreams, a new view every seven seconds, no replays
and nothing to scrub back to, so what you are watching is happening now or not at all. You land on it and it is
already running, which is most of why it won the week. Free to watch, with a paid tier if you want to steer. -
Money Funny: 6 upvotes, #5 on the board. Character-led product ads with spoken AI dialogue. You write or edit the script, pick the characters, and export watermark-free vertical video for TikTok and Reels. Built for the product that is genuinely useful and genuinely boring to describe, which is most of them. One-time pricing, no subscription.
-
FanForge: 5 upvotes, #8 on the board. One workspace for writers, artists, filmmakers and
worldbuilders building a story together. Scripts, lore, visual development, tasks and discussion live in a shared
project called a Forge, collaborators are found through open roles, and accepted contributions keep lasting
attribution tied to the creator, the role and the project. A working private alpha: apply to be a founding tester, 18
and over. -
Sigdes: 4 upvotes, #9 on the board. An email signature designer that gives you clean HTML
with your details, your brand color and one clickable call to action. Design free, pay once to export and save: $19
for a single signature, $49 for up to ten. No account password and no subscription, and you can re-edit and re-export
whatever you saved. -
VendorButton Advantage: 2 upvotes, #13 on the board. Thank-you page recommendations for vendors: the page a customer sees after buying carries relevant offers instead of nothing, with a private mode, optional vendor networking and per-site click stats. Up to 200 offers across five verified sites for $19 once, no recurring fee.
Launch Weekly Winners 🏆
The most upvoted free launches of the week. No paid placement here, just upvotes, and the top of this section finished one vote off the top of the entire board.
-
Habit Doom: 11 upvotes, ahead of twelve of the fourteen paid launches. An iPhone app
that locks your distracting apps until the day's habits are done, then pays you back in screen time. Work out, read,
whatever you set, with AI verification so it is not an honor system, and analytics that show what you actually
traded. Free on iOS. -
Notify.domains: 11 upvotes. Watches the domains you want more than 25 times a
day across WHOIS, RDAP, DNS, SSL, marketplaces and auctions, and tells you in plain English what changed and what to
do next, by email, Slack, Telegram or webhook. Seven-day free trial, then $24 a year for your first domain. -
Super Video Downloader: 9 upvotes. A free Chrome extension for saving web
video, no login. Handles HLS and DASH streams as well as direct MP4 links, and everything is processed locally in the
browser, so nothing about what you save leaves your machine. -
Roadbase: 9 upvotes. Turns the confusing client email into a clear quote in two clicks. Drop in the brief or the PDF and get back a draft project plan, a timeline, a task list and a price, all of it yours to review before it goes anywhere near the client.
-
VerifiFlo: 8 upvotes. Structured validation for an MVP before you build more of it. One
review link goes to your target users, a separate one goes to other builders, and the ratings on first impression,
ease of use, design and performance come back as a Validation Score with the confusing parts named. -
Name to Avatar: 8 upvotes. Synthetic people that hold up in a screenshot. Names,
avatars, identities and whole company rosters that stay culturally coherent, with inferred attributes, for
prototypes, seed data, test fixtures and AI workflows. There is an API, so your seed script can call it. -
Verilock Document Signing: 8 upvotes. Multi-party document signing with
no file upload. Your document is fingerprinted locally, signers sign with a wallet, and the final hash can be
anchored on-chain if the document is worth locking. Verifying later needs no wallet and no account, just the file.
Signing is free. -
SEOGeoOptimizer: 8 upvotes. A free audit that reads your sitemap and semantic
markup, then checks whether AI search can see you at all. The GEO half is the interesting half: classic SEO tools
will not tell you that ChatGPT has never heard of your site.
Launch Builders to Watch 👀
Builders who made this week what it was. Worth a follow.
- Mark Zschiegner (@MarkZofMarkZ (opens in a new tab)): four launches in seven days, one of them the top of the entire board. Nobody has run that many in a week before, and the results are the most useful data the board produced.
- Richard Andrews (@theunmanagedboy (opens in a new tab)): Habit Doom, 11 upvotes on a free listing and the top of the free section. An anti-doomscroll app that locks your phone, shipped by someone who clearly lost that fight first.
- Michael Cyger (@notifydomains (opens in a new tab)): Notify.domains, 11 upvotes on a free listing for domain monitoring priced at $24 a year. A boring category won on a plain-English alert and a price nobody has to think about.
- Nicolas Robertson (@getroadbase (opens in a new tab)): Roadbase, 9 upvotes for turning a messy client brief into a quote. The landing page names the exact moment the pain happens, which is why it reads instantly.
- Sergey Atroshchenko (@kapxapot (opens in a new tab)): Name to Avatar, 8 upvotes for synthetic identities that survive a demo. A developer tool with an API, launched free, and it held the top of the free section all week.
- Elias Ripari (@eliasripari (opens in a new tab)): Bumply, 6 upvotes for a Mac app that updates npm, pnpm, Yarn and Bun projects, shows every command before it runs and rolls back byte-for-byte when something breaks.
- Javan Buchanan (@JoinFanForge (opens in a new tab)): FanForge, a Pro launch for a collaborative story workspace where credit stays attached to the work. Private alpha, and he launched it anyway rather than waiting for a perfect open door.
Worth your time 🔎
Habit Doom (opens in a new tab) is the top free launch of the week, and it earns the spotlight because it is honest about the thing every other screen-time app is squeamish about. Screen-time limits do not work, because the person setting the limit and the person hitting "ignore for 15 minutes" are the same person at different hours of the day. Habit Doom does not ask you to want it less. It puts the distracting apps behind your habits: work out, read, do the thing you said you would do, and the app unlocks. The AI verification is the part that matters, because an honor-system version of this is just a limit with extra steps.
It is free on iOS, and the analytics are worth the install on their own, since they quietly show you what an hour of scrolling actually cost you that day. Take a look (opens in a new tab), and if you have uninstalled and reinstalled the same app three times this year, this is the version of the idea with teeth.

Four launches, one builder 🎯
Four launches ran under one name this week, and they finished 12, 6, 4 and 2. Same builder, same week, same board, same promotion, a 6x spread. Almost every variable a launch post-mortem usually blames is held constant here, which makes the one that won worth looking at closely.
Open & Live took 12 upvotes and the top of the board. It is a page of public live camera feeds that rotate every seven seconds. There is no signup, no explanation, no "how it works" section to read before the value arrives. You open it and something is already happening somewhere, and seven seconds later something else is. A builder scrolling the board clicks it, gets the entire product in under two seconds, and comes back to vote.
Now look at the other three. Money Funny needs you to imagine a script you have not written yet. Sigdes needs you to want an email signature today. VendorButton Advantage needs you to already run a store with a thank-you page. All three are more useful than a rotating camera feed, and all three finished behind it, because every one of them asks the visitor to picture themselves in a situation first. Open & Live asks for nothing and demonstrates itself.
That is not an argument for building toys. It is an argument about the first two seconds of a launch page. The launches that win on this board are the ones where the proof arrives before the claim, and the fastest possible proof is the working thing itself, running, above the fold. If your product cannot do that, the next best version is a gallery of results, which is exactly what won last week.
The week the board flattened 📉
Last week one launch took 29 upvotes and the runner-up took 11. This week the top was 12 and the fourteenth paid launch took 2, with six launches clustered at 6 and four at 8. Total votes fell from 1,095 to 843, but the more interesting number is the spread: there was no runaway, no product that everyone in the community had a reason to push.
Two things follow from that, and both are good news if you are launching soon.
The first is that a flat board is a cheap board. When the top is 29, five upvotes move you nowhere. When the top is 12 and the middle is 6, five upvotes are the difference between mid-table and the top three. The votes you can actually get from people who know you were worth roughly twice as much this week as last.
The second is that free listings are now a genuinely competitive path. Habit Doom and Notify.domains both landed on 11 without paying for a slot, finishing one vote behind the launch that won the whole board and ahead of twelve of the fourteen paid ones. Six weeks in a row now, the top free launch has beaten most of the paid section. Paying buys you the featured slot and the visibility that comes with it. It has never bought the votes, and this week it did not come close.
New Features This Week ⚡
- The whole site got faster. Sessions, rate limits and the search index now run through a Redis layer instead of hitting the database on every request. Nothing to do on your side, pages just answer quicker.
- Directory submission reports ship themselves. Order a directory submission run and the finished report arrives by email on its own private link, with every directory, its status and its live URL. No more asking where it got to.
- Manage Products, one click from the homepage. The homepage sidebar now has a direct button into your products, so editing a listing no longer starts with hunting through the profile menu.
- The blog and product pages were rebuilt on shared UI primitives. Cards, fields, badges and section headings now come from one system, which is why the blog you are reading has a legible table of contents and visible focus rings.
- ScrollLaunch added to the where to launch guide, and the tools rail picked up two partner links: Builders Backlinks (opens in a new tab) for free backlink exchanges and LaunchPact (opens in a new tab) for Product Hunt launch support.
- Crawl rules tightened.
robots.txtstopped blocking the assets Google needs to render the site, which is the first fix out of this month's indexing audit and the reason product pages should start appearing in search.
Coming this week: Auto growth and distribution 🚀
The thing we have been building quietly is close. Auto growth and distribution tools are aiming to land this week: the part of a launch that is pure manual labour, getting your product in front of the places and people that actually move it, handled for you from the dashboard you already have.
It is the natural next step after the tools already in /tools/, and it is the reason the last few weeks have been heavy on plumbing and light on visible features. Stay tuned, it is days away rather than weeks.
Quick ask 🙏
Fourteen featured launches and 843 upvotes this week, on the flattest board we have had. The top score was 12, which means five upvotes genuinely moved products this week in a way they could not have last week. Habit Doom and Notify.domains both proved the point from free listings, one vote off the top of the entire board.
If something in this issue deserves eyes, open its page and upvote it. Ten seconds, real difference.
