Week 15 Recap: A Bigger Board, Thinner Votes and a Product Hunt Launch That Came 13th

Your weekly roundup of fresh launches shaping how we work and build.

Week 15 was the biggest board yet and the votes did not follow it. 309 products submitted, 93 went live, and 940 upvotes cast, which is 24 fewer than last week. The week 33 board carried 22 featured launches, up from thirteen. Same pool of voters, nearly twice the board, so every launch on it got a thinner slice. The directory crossed 1,394 live products, 438 new builders joined, and domain rating moved to 72. Every landing page in this issue got a hand check before making the list.

The clearest thing in the numbers is what it did to the free section. X Growth Engine took 16 upvotes without paying for placement and finished ahead of eighteen of the twenty two featured launches. That is the second week running a free listing beat most of the paid board, and it is worth saying plainly: the featured slot buys you position, it does not buy you votes. Four launches cleared 20 this week. Everything below that was decided by whoever actually showed up.

We also launched Nick Launches itself on Product Hunt on Saturday. It came 13th. There is a section on that below, with the numbers, because what went wrong is more useful to you than the placement would have been.

Featured Launches 🚀

Twenty two featured launches ran on this week's board. Ordered as the week page had them, filtered to the Pro tier and up, every landing page checked by hand. Shadcn Admin's seven day slot closed on Sunday along with the week, so the live board now shows twenty one.

1. ideavibes.ai: 33 upvotes, the top of the board. The idea to product platform. You talk, an Intent Engine turns what you said into structured work, and the same flow plans, builds, reviews, deploys and scales it. One pipeline from the first sentence to something live.
2. Fdback: 29 upvotes. Give your users somewhere to tell you what to build next: a public feedback board on your own subdomain or domain, voting and comments, winners promoted to a public roadmap, and a changelog to announce the ship. AI catches duplicate requests, and Canny, Featurebase, UserVoice or Nolt boards import in minutes. Flat $15 a month, no per user fees.
3. Colleator: 21 upvotes. X creators and businesses finding each other for paid collaborations without the DM back and forth. Creators publish a profile with their X performance, the services they offer and their rates. Businesses filter by niche and audience and see the price before they ask.
4. Localdock: 20 upvotes. Every local project gets a real HTTPS address, so you can send a client a working link or open your dev environment on your phone with nothing to install at the other end. macOS menubar app, $9 once, single device, refunded if it does not fit.
5. Shadcn Admin: 14 upvotes. A Shadcn UI admin dashboard template on Tailwind and Next.js, TypeScript throughout. Built to be the starting point you customise rather than the one you fight.
6. PHPRunner: 8 upvotes. Low code app building for database work. Point it at a database you already have, design the forms, reports, dashboards and workflows visually, then generate a complete web application whose source you own and deploy on your own server.
7. SOCIALFUEL: 7 upvotes. Paste a brand and it pulls every ad currently running from Meta's Ad Library and Google's Ads Transparency Center, ranks them by how long each one has survived, which is the only public performance signal there is, then decodes the hook, the angle, the offer and who it is aimed at. It refuses to invent spend estimates, because the platforms do not publish them. Free tier, no card.
8. MotifIcons: 7 upvotes. Spotlight, but for icons. One shortcut on top of whatever you are in, Figma, Photoshop, VS Code or the browser, type what you need, hit enter, and it is on your clipboard in the right format: vector in the design tool, PNG in Photoshop, React, Vue, Svelte or SwiftUI in the editor.
9. Bangermeter: 6 upvotes. A free, open source Chrome extension that scores every post in your X feed against the last ranking weights X actually published. Runs locally, no account, no data collected, a score badge on every tweet.
10. Shipmail: 5 upvotes. Business email on your own domain that works with Apple Mail, Outlook and any standard client, plus webmail, calendars, newsletters, transactional sending, booking pages and an API with an official MCP server. One subscription, no ads, no inbox scanning. From $4 a month.
11. TransferMe24: 5 upvotes. Airport transfers across Europe at a fixed price, with professional drivers and 24/7 support. Book online, free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.
12. NexArt: 5 upvotes. Certified Execution Records for AI systems: independently verifiable evidence of what an agent actually ran, checkable by anyone without an account and without having to trust the operator.
13. Freedom Trades: 4 upvotes. A swing trading community running on Substack: strategies, stock picks and step by step education, with over 2,000 subscribers on the list.
14. Catalyst Healthspan Audit: 3 upvotes. A free twelve question self assessment that scores your healthspan from 0 to 10 across body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness, stability and strength. A few minutes, and the full report lands in your inbox.
15. SciDraw AI: 3 upvotes. Publication ready scientific illustrations, graphical abstracts, schematics and workflow diagrams. Generate one from a prompt, refine a figure you already have, and export clean artwork for papers, posters and teaching material.
16. Otty: 3 upvotes. A period tracker built for couples that still works solo. Phase mapping, daily check ins and symptom patterns on your side, phase aware daily tips on your partner's, and once you pair, the check ins, comfort preferences and nudges reach the right person at the right time. No lectures, no clinical charts, one very invested otter.
17. TempGuru: 3 upvotes. Event staffing across 300+ US and Canadian markets through pre vetted, W-2 compliant agencies. One vendor, one contract, one invoice, a human coordinator on every order, and an MCP server so an AI agent can price and book the staff directly.
18. World Monitor: 3 upvotes. A free global intelligence dashboard streaming conflicts, shipping chokepoints, military flights and market data in real time, with AI flagging the moments where several of them converge. Over 500 curated feeds and 56 map layers, no signup.
19. Gmailytics: 2 upvotes. Shows exactly who is filling your Gmail, then clears it in bulk: trash or archive thousands of messages by sender and unsubscribe from newsletters in one click. It reads metadata only, never message content. Free for the first 2,000 emails cleaned, Pro is $7 a quarter.
20. Humanize AI Text io: 2 upvotes. Paste output from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and get it back reading like a person wrote it, with the meaning intact. Free, no signup, 40+ languages, up to 1,000 words a run.
21. On-Model: 2 upvotes. AI fashion photography for ecommerce. Turn flat lays into on model shots, recolour garments and swap models while the garment detail stays pixel accurate, through the interface or the API at thousands of images a day.
22. Pickz: 2 upvotes. Predict sports outcomes, run private leagues with your friends and climb the leaderboard every gameweek. Free to play, no entry fees, no subscription.

Launch Weekly Winners 🏆

The most upvoted free launches of the week. No paid placement here, just upvotes. And this week the section makes the argument on its own: X Growth Engine finished on 16, ahead of eighteen of the twenty two featured launches, without paying for a slot.

1. X Growth Engine: 16 upvotes, the top free launch and ahead of eighteen featured ones. It works from your own X feed rather than a generic firehose. Set your focus once and it learns which conversations in your niche are worth answering, then keeps surfacing them as your interests move. Free tier available.
2. Tailoredcv.ai: 11 upvotes. Upload the resume you already have, paste the job description, and get back a version that leads with the experience that particular role asks for. Cover letter included, so you stop sending the same generic CV to every employer.
3. DanielLaunches: 9 upvotes. A daily board for new product launches. Submit and you get a permanent launch page, two free backlinks, and a readout of what the launch actually sent you, which is more than most boards will tell you.
4. Scrumpy: 7 upvotes. A Jira alternative small enough to set up in an afternoon. Scrum boards, a readable backlog, sprints, epics, custom roles and real time updates, plus AI story writing and a story API. $9 per editor per month with everything included, view only users free forever, EU hosted, and a live demo you can open without an account.
5. Moxie Docs: 7 upvotes. Keeps GitHub documentation in step with every pull request. It generates structured READMEs and architecture decision records, detects where the docs have drifted from the code, and opens a weekly cleanup PR so the gap never gets big.
6. Huebert: 7 upvotes. Most palette generators stop at pretty swatches. This one turns colours into a production ready UI system: semantic tokens, live previews, WCAG and APCA contrast validation, dark mode, and a shadcn/ui theme you can export.

We launched on Product Hunt 🚀

Nick Launches went live on Product Hunt at midnight Pacific on Saturday. It finished 13th Product of the Day on 40 upvotes and 10 comments, no badge. Badges go to the top five, and the leaders that day were sitting at 201, 155 and 135. For a first launch with no hunter and no coordinated list, 40 is a real number. It is also nowhere near a badge, and pretending otherwise would waste your time.

Here is the part that is actually useful, because it is a mistake you can avoid.

187 people clicked through from X, an email went to 2,406 inboxes, and the listing gained 40 points all day. Even if every single point came from X, that is under a quarter of the clicks converting, and the entire email list is somewhere inside the same 40. The traffic was never the problem. The problem sits between the click and the vote: Product Hunt asks you to log in before you can upvote, and most people who are curious about a directory are not going to create an account to press a button. I named that wall in three separate posts and it still ate most of a launch day.

The second mistake was scheduling. The afternoon and evening of launch day were empty. Nothing went out after 11:00 AM, while voting stayed open for another 13 hours. The three pushes that did run took 26,296 of the day's 34,780 impressions, and the two biggest posts of the day were both written that morning rather than planned a week earlier. The reach worked. There was simply nothing running during the half of the day when the rest of the world was awake.

If you are planning a Product Hunt launch: assume a login wall between your traffic and your score, and treat the second half of the day as though the first half never happened.

New Features This Week ⚡

• Every product page now shows the site's real authority, with data from GetTrueDR↗ (opens in a new tab). Live Domain Rating, plus TrueDR and a trust score where VerifiedDR has finished enriching the domain. It refreshes automatically every Monday and saves a snapshot each time, so after a few weeks you are looking at a trend line rather than a single number. Log in and check yours from /tools/.
• Blog posts now ship FAQ structured data. Every guide with a questions section emits proper schema, which is what gets a page pulled into rich results and quoted by AI assistants instead of skimmed past. Small change, and it applies to the whole guide library at once.
• Domain rating moved to 72. It was DR 1 in May. Every free listing on the directory carries a permanent do follow link from that domain, and it still costs nothing.
• Three new guides went up. Launching Is Not One Day, a guest post on what happens after launch day and how to check which directory listings actually link back. Nobody Signed Up After Launch: How to Tell If It's Distribution or the Idea, four checks in order to work out whether nobody found it or nobody wanted it. And AI Assistants Read PeerPush 5 Million Times a Month, which uses PeerPush's crawler data to show what AI assistants actually extract from a product page and why they get small products wrong.

Quick ask 🙏

Upvotes are the whole game on a launch platform, and this week showed exactly why. The board nearly doubled, the votes did not, and a free launch on 16 beat eighteen paid slots. Five upvotes genuinely decide where a launch lands. If something in this issue deserves eyes, open its page and upvote it. Ten seconds, real difference.

Thanks for being part of Nick Launches. If you want the daily behind the scenes, including the launches that do not go to plan, follow me on X: @nicklaunches↗ (opens in a new tab).

Building something? Submit it. Listing is free and the do-follow backlink is permanent.

15 weeks down. Thanks for reading. 🙏
